The Be Well Bulletin

be yourself

Summer 2019

One of my mom’s greatest passions is volunteering in her community. She uses her talents mentoring young women living in transitional homes and also leads a HELP ministry at church. Volunteering not only keeps her active and social, it allows her to make a difference in the lives around her.

Share a little bit about yourself with other Allwell from Superior HealthPlan members. Send your testimonials and stories to Ashlea using the form below. We will review the testimonials and stories and print a selection of them in the next Be Well Bulletin.

Here are just a few ways to stay active in your community:

Animal Shelters

Walking shelter dogs is a win-win. You both get exercise and you have the opportunity to make a new, four-legged, friend.

Compliments to the Chef

Food pantries, shelters and soup kitchens are great places to show off your cooking skills while helping your neighbors.

Share Your Skills

Put your professional skills to work for those who need need legal, financial or professional advice. Your experience can really make a difference.

Shape the Future

Mentoring teens is a great way to share the wisdom you’ve spent a lifetime developing. Check with local YMCAs, Boys & Girls Clubs or CASA organizations for ways to support our youth.
